Qigong is the ancient Chinese art and science of breath and movement exercise which moves the qi (energy) to strengthen the internal organs and nourish the body, mind, and spirit. Practicing qigong can relieve stress, detoxify the body, increase energy, and calm the mind. With regular practice, it can prevent illness, overcome many health issues, and help to regain a youthful vigor. This practice is appropriate for people of all levels of health and experience.

Class Schedule News

SATURDAY SCHEDULE
New Saturday class for the summer months...

Warm Vinyasa Class 8:00 ~ 9:30 Beginning June 5.

This will be a challenging class based on the principle foundations of Ashtanga Yoga with some influences from the Bikram and Hot Yoga traditions. While we will not be heating the room unless it is actually chilly, there will be no fans and don’t even think about suggesting the air conditioner!  We will take advantage of the warm summer months to ignite our internal flame and generate organic heat.

Jan Labriola, a certified Ashtanga teacher, has also studied in the Hot Yoga traditions and will bring their influence into an interesting combination of styles. This class is not for beginners and we recommend you have at least 6 months experience with yoga before joining the class.

Since this is intended to be a sweaty class and there will be another class immediately following we are requesting that you use your own mats. We have mats for sale if you do not own a personal mat.

MEMORIAL DAY

There will be only one class on Memorial Day
11:00 a.m. Yoga with Nancy Causey
